SERVICES
All appointments will take place in your home or at your child's nursery/school setting.
ASSESSMENT
An assessment is the first step and will look at your child's attention and listening, play, language, speech and social skills. During this initial consultation, a case history will be taken from the parents/carers to gather the pertinent background information. A full assessment using formal or informal methods or a combination of these will then be used to gain a clear picture of your child’s communication skills. This assessment will take approximately 1 hour. Following on from the assessment, a thorough report will be produced detailing the case history information, assessment details and findings with recommendations.
The cost of the assessment including a full report is £160.
If there are any other professionals involved with your child it would be really helpful if you could bring any previous reports with you to the appointment.
If your child has a comprehensive report written within the last 3 months from another Speech and Language Therapist (NHS or Private), detailing your child’s communication profile, we would be very happy to work with this information and can discuss the next steps.
THERAPY
If therapy is recommended after the initial consultation, we will discuss and agree the frequency and appropriate session length for your child.
An indicative cost for a 45 minute session is £67.
Weekly 1:1 sessions lasting 30 or 45 minutes are most typical. You or a key member of staff are encouraged to sit in on the sessions whenever possible. This enables the therapist to model and demonstrate activities during the session which can then be practised at home. We will discuss your child's progress at regular intervals.
Small group sessions may also be possible at your child's nursery/school depending on demand.
MILEAGE
The first 10 miles from her office base in Bishops Waltham are complImentary. There is a 45p per mile charge thereafter.
OTHER SERVICES
If additional reports, home programmes or nursery observations are needed, charges for these can be discussed with the therapist.
Please note that all prices are subject to review on an annual basis.
